Police and firefighters are investigating a house fire as an arson that has left 3 people homeless. About 2 weeks ago, Sharon Cooper and her 2 teenage daughters lost the place they called home for the last decade. It happened just north of Aynor.

It's been a long couple of weeks for an entire family living along Floyd Page Road. Sharon Cooper and her 2 daughters are waiting for police to give them an answer as to what happened to their home.

Cooper says, "Right now we're just trying to tear it down, get some help. We have no insurance and we don't get no help from the neighbors. So we're living with my parents, my mama and my daddy, and they're doing what they can do to help us."

Her cousin, Tabitha Martin lives next door to the burned home. Both say they haven't gotten along in over five years. And both say the fire fueled a whirlwind of gossip and feuding, as to who is responsible for setting the blaze. In fact, today, both got into a heated argument which led to police being called.

Martin says, "I feel sorry for her and I want to go over there and help, but I know I can't. We fight too much."

Recently, there's been a lot more heated disputes between both the cousins, and both say they actually used to be pretty close.

The cousins say they would go out together, and Martin would treat Cooper's daughters as her own. She says despite what's happened she still loves them all.

Martin says, "I just hope whoever done it they would be caught. And I'm so sorry it happened and if there's anything I can do, I'm willing to do it."

Cooper disagrees.

She says, "They claim they're here to help us and they love us and they're trying to do what's right for us, but they haven't given us nothing but trouble."

One thing both say they can agree on is getting a conclusion to the arson investigation.
