An Oklahoma man died after a single-vehicle wreck Tuesday along a Darlington County stretch of Interstate 20, according to the S.C. Highway Patrol.

The wreck happened about 7 a.m. when the man driving a Penske rental truck struck an overpass and ran off the road, Lance Cpl. Sonny Collins said.

The man, identified as Cole James Chaney by Darlington County Coroner Todd Hardee, was the only person in the vehicle at the time of the wreck.

Chaney had been wearing a seat belt, Collins said.
