OCEAN ISLE BEACH, N.C. – When tragedy strikes news organizations rush their crews to the scene to deliver news, pictures and video to their viewers.

The Sunday morning fire here that killed six University of South Carolina and one Clemson University student is one such event.

Ocean Isle Beach, a normally reserved and quiet beach community on the southern tip of North Carolina, has a permanent population of about 500 people – according to news reports.

As of Monday morning, it likely has more journalists per capita than any other city in the country.

WBTW News13’s video journalist Marshall Staton took a minute to document the fleet of sat truck and heard of journalists that gathered there today (Monday). He filed these pictures.
