Cloud cover will increase as a cold front approaches the Eastern Carolinas. Only slight chances for showers are expected Thursday afternoon and most locations will stay dry. High temperatures will be slightly above normal, topping out in the upper 60s in the Pee Dee as well as the Grand Strand. Behind the cold front, Friday's morning lows will be near 40 degrees across the region. Sunnier skies will follow the front and high temperatures will stay in the lower 60s both Friday and Saturday. The next frontal system is expected by the beginning of the week, bringing slight chances for rain Sunday and Monday.
