Chamber recognizes students, teachers at monthly luncheon

The Mullins Chamber of Commerce recognized teachers and students during its monthly luncheon, Nov. 16.

Marion School District 2 2006-2007 Honor Roll Teachers: Candy Devers of North Mullins Primary; Sylvia McFarland of McCormick Elementary School; Regina Gilchrist of Palmetto Middle School; and Patti Hester of Mullins High School. Devers is the Master Teacher of the Year The school district also recognized Mullins Early Childhood Center honor roll teachers: the late Beth Bell and the late Sandra Jackson.

Citizenship winners for Mullins High School:

First nine weeks — ninth grade, Kaitlin Lewis; tenth grade, Eric Wade Smith; 11th grade, Joshua Seth Allen; and 12th grade, Lauren Brown all of Mullins

Second nine weeks (All of Mullins except were noted) — ninth grade, Ahkeema Simmons; 10th grade, Cherelle Smith; 11th grade: Crystal Outlaw of Nichols; and 12th grade, Sammantha Carper. Citizenship awards for Pee Dee Academy :

Fall 2007 — 12th grade, Jacqueline Gibbs of Nichols; 11th grade, Ginni Reaves McMillan of Mullins; 10th grade, Haley Smith of Florence; 9th grade, Jeffre Rogers of Mullins

Second nine weeks — 12th grade, Holly Kinnett of Marion; 11th grade of Brittany Ellis of Mullins; 10th grade, Faith Baxley of Mullins; and ninth grade, Taylor Williams of Brittons Neck.

Each student received a $50 savings bond from Anderson Brothers Bank.
