Myrtle Eaddy Hedgepath of Columbia, 88, wife of the late Murray Clifton Hedgepath Sr., died Sunday, Nov. 11, 2007.
A funeral was at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 14 at Dunbar Funeral Home, Devine Street Chapel. Burial followed in Greenlawn Memorial Park.

She was predeceased by a sister, Virginia Reed.
Born in Prospect, Mrs. Hedgepath was a daughter of the late John Gary and Pearl Hanna Eaddy. She was a graduate of Lake City High School and Winthrop University. For several years, Mrs. Hedgepath taught in the public schools of South Carolina. She also was a graduate of the Columbia Hospital School of Nursing. A registered nurse, she worked at the Veterans Hospital and had been an instructor in nursing arts at the old Columbia Hospital. Mrs. Hedgepath was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church, Spartanburg.
Surviving are a son, Cliff Hedgepath of Columbia; sisters, Sara Vick Baxley of Prospect and Fanona Overstreet of Summerville; brothers and sisters-in-law, John David and Levedna Eaddy of Prospect and Donald W. and Lola Eaddy of Raleigh, N.C.; two sisters-in-law, Doris Myfelt of Winnsboro and Mildred (Fletcher) Monts of Greenville; and many nieces and nephews.
