L. Don Floyd of Georgetown, 47, died Sunday, Nov. 11, 2007, at his residence.
A funeral was at 2 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 13 in Barrineau Pentecostal Holiness Church in the Barrineau Community conducted by the Rev. Bobby Ray Floyd Jr. and Pastor M. Chris Daigle. Burial followed in New Town Free Will Baptist Church Cemetery in the Barrineau Community.
A Memorial service was at 4 p.m. Monday, Nov.12 in Georgetown Community Church conducted by Pastor M. Chris Daigle and Rev. Billy Anderson

Born May 25, 1960 in Timmonsville, Mr. Floyd was a son of Betty Itlean Smith Floyd and the late Linward Calvin Floyd. He grew up in the Barrineau Community of Clarendon County and graduated from Lake City High School. Mr. Floyd was a self-employed carpenter and painter and also a musician, country music singer, and song writer. He lived in Georgetown for the past six years and attended Fireside Ministries.
Surviving are his wife, Gail McClellan Floyd of Georgetown; a stepson, Wesley Fuller of Georgetown; a step-daughter, Caroline Fuller of Georgetown; his mother of Lake City; four brothers, Tommy, Russell, and Mark Floyd, all of Lake City and Billy Floyd of Scranton; a step-grandson, Tyler Ried Fuller of Surfside Beach; five nieces; and a nephew.
