The Lake City Junior Women’s Club 2007 Oyster Roast on Nov. 17 at the National Bean Market Museum of South Carolina was a huge success. This year was the third annual event and featured the band, Spunjwurthi. Guests enjoyed a buffet of other food items as well as oysters. Lake City Junior Women’s Club president Jada McDaniel said about 350 people attended the event, which raised $8,755.58. Proceeds will benefit the National Bean Market Museum of South Carolina and local charities.
