Police investigate overnight murder in Conway

CONWAY -- One person is dead and two in police custody following an incident about 10 p.m. on Wisteria Lane, according to Horry County Police officials.



Police responded to the home on a report of gunshots.



Horry County Police arrested 20-year-old Christopher Illingworth in connection to the shooting death.


Police booked Illingworth into the J. Reuben Long Detention Center around 5 o'clock Thursday morning.


Investigators charged Illingworth with murder Thursday afternoon.



Horry County deputy coroner Tamara Willard identified the victim as 29-year-old Jason Turner of Conway.



Willard said Turner was living with a friend at a home near the Wisteria Lane area.



Willard said Turner appears to have died from gunshot wounds.



Jail records show that Illingworth is from the Conway area.


Illingworth remains in the J. Reuben Long Detention Center awaiting a bond hearing.
