A fire occurred approximately at 6:17 p.m. at the Carter Mill on Church Street according to Lake City Fire Chief, Tony Singletary. Singletary said the fire started in the back of the building and the fire was brought under control within five minutes. Singletary said damage was done to the inside and 75 percent of the building was damaged. The fire is still under investigation, Singletary said.
