Betty Ray Cook

   JOHNSONVILLE - Betty Ray Cook, 61, widow of Marion Ulmer Cook died Friday, Dec. 14, 2007 in a Florence hospital.

   Mrs. Cook was born in Hemingway, a daughter of the late Weston and Sally Coker Ray. She was a homemaker, a loving mother and grandmother, and a friend to all.

   Surviving are her children, Lisa (Glenn) Bell, Sandy (David) Newton and Randy (Fungfa) Cook all of Johnsonville; grandchildren, Brandy Cook, Brittney Bell, David Newton, Jr., Wesley Cook and Maidawn Cook; sister Katherine (Aaron) Lambert of Aynor; brother, Jimmy Ray of Aynor, a number of nieces and nephews; predeceased by John D. Ray and Christian roberts.

   Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Monday, December 17, 2007 in the Williams Hill Free Will Baptist Church, directed by Morris Funeral Home, with burial following in the church cemetery.

   The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 16, 2007.
