Stubborn fire smolders at Tupperware

»  Comments | Post a Comment

The acrid odor of burning plastic pervaded the neighborhood as firemen from several fire companies fought a stubborn blaze at a Tupperware company warehouse Dec. 11-12. The fire was in an area where Tupperware products are warehoused for shipment to U.S. markets. All manufacturing formerly done here, has been moved out of the county.

Firemen cut holes in the roof of the metal building and poured large quantities of water on the fire to suppress it. The fire fighters wore self contained breathing apparatus and EMS personnel stood by.
