KINGSBURG — Johnson’s Convenience Store, is now under new management. Sal Samie Sawa now runs what has been newly named Sam’s Quick Stop # 2. It is located beside Kingsburg Baptist Church on the corner of Kingsburg Loop and Old River Road. This station fills the gap between Salem, Johnsonville, and Gresham.
“I can’t predict the future,” said Sawa. “But I will try my best to deliver top quality fuel at the lowest prices. Business has been great so far, thanks to the Lord, and I can’t complain. I’m able to pay the bills on time and have food on the table.”
The customers seem to be happy with the change. The gas prices have gone down and they still have the same great hot dogs, some customers have said.
Sam’s is open from 5:30 in the morning until 8:00 in the evening, with the possibility of opening on Sundays in the future.
“I thank the community for their loyalty and support. Without the community’s support, I wouldn’t be here,” Sawa said. “I am also open to any comments or suggestions. As any other business in this community, if there is anything that I can provide for them, I am here.”
