The Friends and Alumni Association of Palmetto High School celebrated its annual “Black Achievement Awards Banquet” on Saturday, Feb. 5 at Mullins High School. The 26-year old organization provides scholarships to Mullins student scholars and athletes.

Alumni association to celebrate 25th annual fellowship event
This past Saturday I had the pleasure of attending the Annual Black Achievement Awards organized by the Friends and Alumni Association of Palmetto High School.

The Palmetto Alumni Diamonds visited Mullins Nursing Center in Mullins Saturday, Dec. 12 to entertain residents with Christmas carols.

Members of the Friends and Alumni Association of Palmetto High School recently unveiled and dedicated a Bulldog monument to their alma mater.
Palmetto High School's Friends and Alumni Association raised over $23,000 in scholarship funds for students during their annual fellowship program. The event gathered over 200 people to Mt. Olive Baptist Church, as the students at the once all black high school before integration took the time to remember the past and reward students continuing their education.
