Our TownOur Town

WBTW News 13, The Morning News, and SCnow.com are proud to serve the communities that make up the Eastern Carolinas.

That sense of pride is at the heart of a unique program launched in 2010 - called “Our Town.”

Now through next spring, we’ll shine a spotlight on communities from the Grand Strand, to the Pee Dee and Southeastern North Carolina by broadcasting the area’s most-watched early evening newscasts – News 13 at 5:00 and News 13 at 6:00 - live from these cities and towns.

This year, in addition to focusing on the people and places that make them so special, we’ll preview the hometown festivals that celebrate the music, arts, history and spirit of these communities. From the Atalaya Arts and Crafts Festival in Murrells Inlet to Race Week in Darlington – it’s Coverage You Can Count On. We’ll also go “Back to School” with live broadcasts from Francis Marion University in Florence and Coker College in Hartsville.

We invite you to be a part of this extraordinary project by joining Bob Juback, Nicole Boone, Wendi Redman, Frank Johnson and Jeff Zell on location and support making your town “Our Town!” We invite you to bring your family out to our live location to meet the News 13 team, see what it takes to put a live newscast on the air, and join in the fun!
