Vanessa Ann Corso of Milan, Ohio and James Blake Putnam of Florence, SC were married on November 19, 2011 at 2 p.m. at The Bell Tower in Eulenbis, Germany.
Benton Hall performed the ceremony, using the Bible carried by the groom's mother in his parents' 1974 wedding.
The bride, who was escorted by Deiter Scherer, friend of the couple, is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth Corso of Milan, Ohio. She is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. Emmanuel DeSilvia of Taunton, Massachusetts and Mrs. Mary Corso and the late Mr. Henry Corso of Sandusky, Ohio.
She is a graduate of Kent State University in Kent, Ohio, with a Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing, graduating Cum Laude. She was a Captain in the United States Air Force, stationed as a flight nurse in Ramstein, Germany.
The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. James Edward Putnam Jr. of Florence, SC. He is the grandson of Mr. Charles Andrew (Red) Hoffman, Sr. and the late Esther Winburn Hoffman of Florence, and Mr. and Mrs. James Edward Putnam, Sr. of Florence, SC.
He is a graduate of Francis Marion University in conjunction with the Medical University of South Carolina with a Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing. He is a Captain in the United States Air Force, stationed in Ramstein, Germany, as a flight nurse.
A reception followed at SeeHotel in Kaiserslautern, Germany.
After a wedding trip to Prague, Czech Republic, the couple will live in Eulenbis, Germany.
