More people die from Hepatitis-C than HIV

NEW YORK CITY, NY - CBS- Hepatitis-C now claims more lives than HIV.

Researchers found about 15,000 deaths last year were tied to Hepatitis-C.

,000 deaths. The chronic Hepatitis-C virus is a leading cause of liver disease and cirrhosis.

HIV accounted for 13

About 3.2 million people are currently infected in the U.S.
