Researchers find more people suffer from hearing loss but won't seek help

»  Comments | Post a Comment

NEW YORK CITY, NY - CBS- Doctors at Johns Hopkins University say more than 26 million Americans over the age of 50 have hearing loss but only one in seven uses a hearing aid.

The study found lack of health coverage is one reason, but for the most part,

people simply feel hearing loss is a part of aging and that there's not much

to do about it.

Researchers hope their findings change that perception.
