Senior Renewal

The Senior Renewal Program at Williamsburg Regional Hospital allows clients to receive an intensive level of treatment through a combination of group, individual and family counseling as required and intensive nursing education, allowing clients to gain insight into their illnesses and learn effective ways to cope with their issues. A physician supervises the care of each person and can meet one-on-one on a regular basis with each client and involved family members to ensure quality care. Clients also receive a nutritious meal each day.

Treatment begins with scheduling a complimentary confidential assessment by a qualified professional that can be conducted at the Senior Renewal Program or in the privacy of your own home. The assessment will determine the level of care appropriate to each client and make a referral for treatment based on the presenting symptoms and their level of severity.

Programming to accommodate prescribed levels of care is available on weekdays during business hours Monday through Friday.

The cost of the Senior Renewal Program treatment services is covered by Medicare and most secondary commercial insurance health plans. Normal deductibles and co-pays apply.

For those who do not have transportation, assistance can be coordinated by the Senior Renewal Program. Specially equipped vans are available for those who need wheelchair access or other special care.

To make a referral to the Senior Renewal Program, call the office at (843) 355-8890.

For more information or to schedule an interview with Mary E. Chinnes, call (843) 355-8890 or e-mail mchinnes@wmbgrh.com.
