LAKE CITY — Here is a listing of the upcoming church-related events in the Lake City area:

 

Clothes Closet

Wesley Chapel United Methodist Church’s Clothes Closet, at 112 Deep River St. in Lake City, is open to anyone who is in need of its services and is accepting donations. The Department of Social Services, the Red Cross, Salvation Army and any other organization that helps people in need can contact the Clothes Closet. Supernatural healing revival

El’ Shaddai Faith Temple Ministries Inc., at 2925 U.S. 52 (next to Hot Spot) in Scranton, will have a supernatural healing revival at 6:30 p.m. today through Friday. At 3 p.m. Aug. 7, the ministry will have a Crab Crack and Fish Fry GospelFest Explosion. Admission is free. For more information, call (843) 926-1111.

 

Author visit

Crossover Church, at 240 Seaboard Ave. in Johnsonville, will have Brenda Cobb, author of the book “Heal & Reverse Aging Organic Raw & Living Foods,” at 6:30 p.m. Monday. A food tasting will be held at 6 p.m. The church is located in the big blue building at the back of the Johnsonville High School track field. Free clothing

The Lake City Pentecostal Holiness Church, at 608 S. Ron McNair Blvd., is providing free clothing for the community. For more information, call (843) 374-3444.

 

Annual camp meeting

The Free Will Baptist Pentecostal Faith Conference will hold its annual camp meeting through Sunday at the conference headquarters in Turbeville with speaker the Rev. James Martin from Mt. Vernon, Texas. Day services will be held with various preachers bringing the messages. All accommodations and meals for those staying on the grounds will be offered at no cost. Scouting program

Greater St. James AME Church, at 339 W. Moore St. in Lake City, offers a scouting program to local boys and girls. All parents who are interested may contact Jimmie Harrison or Lake City Mayor Lovith Anderson Jr. Boy Scouts meet monthly at 10 a.m. on the first and third Saturdays.

 

Women’s Conference

East Lake City Believers Holiness Church, at 47 McCutcheon Road in Lake City, will have its ninth annual Women’s Conference at 7:30 p.m. Thursday and Friday and a workshop at 8:30 a.m. Saturday. Appreciation service

St. Mark Believers Holiness Church, at 310 Delano St. in Lake City, will have its 29th appreciation service for Jr. Bishop Dr. Linwood and Evangelist Dr. Doretha Cooper at 7:30 p.m. Thursday and Friday and concluding Sunday after dinner in the Moore and Eaddy Fellowship Hall. Men’s choir anniversary

Lake Point United Methodist Church, at 747 Indiantown Road, Lake City, will hold its men’s choir anniversary at 4 p.m. Sunday. For information, call (843) 389-6280.

 

GriefShare

GriefShare, a Christ-centered video program for the bereaved, will begin at 6:30 p.m. Aug. 5 at Lee’s Tabernacle Pentecostal Holiness Church, at 2226 N. Matthews Road in Scranton. There is no cost to attend. Call (843) 389-7051 to register or for more information.

 

Praise and worship program

Senior choir anniversary

East Lake City Believers Holiness Church, at 1847 McCutcheon Road in Lake City, will be celebrating the 68th anniversary of its senior choir at 4 p.m. Aug. 22. Help To Feed the Hungry

Victory Harvest Church, at 157-B West Main Street in Lake City, has changed its Help To Feed the Hungry distribution days and times to 2-6 p.m. every Tuesday and 2-5 p.m. every Wednesday or until food runs out. Food will be provided on a first-come, first-served basis. Applications for assistance are taken on Tuesdays, and client day of the month to pick up commodities will be given at this time. Summer food program

The Greater Deep River Pentecostal Holiness Church, at 118 Darlington St. in Lake City, will have a summer food program from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Monday through Thursday through the month of August. Military wall

Plaques on the military wall at St. Mark Believers Holiness Church are available to families of military members who would like to place a relative’s name on the wall. For more information, call Michelle Daniels at (843) 394-9954.

 

Tennessee trip

First Baptist Church in Lake City is planning a five-day, four-night trip to Nashville and Pigeon Forge, Tenn., from Dec. 2-6. Tour includes motor coach transportation; four-night accommodations; taxes and bag handling; three dinners; four continental breakfasts; and admission to the Shindig Christmas Show, Grand Ole Opry, Treasure for the Holiday, Hall of Trees Ice Sculpture, Radio City Rockettes and Dollywood. Bible study

Kingstree Apostolic Faith Church, at 792 Gausetown Road in Kingstree, will have Bible study at 7:30 p.m. every Tuesday night. On the fourth Tuesday night, which is children’s night, children will be given items to get them involved in the Bible class. For more information, call (843) 356-9584.

 

Narcotics Anonymous

Greater St. James AME Church, at 339 W. Moore St. in Lake City, holds Narcotics Anonymous meetings at 7 p.m. each Monday and Thursday. Anyone who needs this service is invited to attend.
