Mandy Nicole Godwin of Florence and Robert McKinley Smith of Lyman were married on September 19, 2009 at 3:30 pm at Southside Baptist Church. Rev. Jim Crooks and Rev. Kendal Danford performed the ceremony. The bride, who was escorted by her father, is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Burl Godwin of Florence. She is the granddaughter of Rev. and Mrs. William Claudie Osborne of Turbeville and the late Rev. Cecil J. Davis and Mrs. Mary Kathleen Godwin of Pamplico and the late Mr. John Euford Godwin. The bride is a cum laude graduate of Francis Marion University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology and is employed by Kohl's.
The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth Smith of Lyman. He is the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. Harrison McKinley Dimsdale of Lyman and Mr. and Mrs. William Ernest Smith of Stanley, NC. He is a graduate of Francis Marion University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Physics and is employed by Savannah River Nuclear Solutions in Aiken.
Matron of Honor was Mrs. Courtney Keefe Gainey.
Bridesmaids were Mrs. Heather Grace Gardner, Miss Sarah Haselden, Mrs. Jessie Henderson, Miss Monét Heyward, Miss Tia Hicks, Miss Kristina Plunkett, and Miss Carmen Stephens.
Junior bridesmaids were Miss Lauren Smith and Miss Jordan Smith, cousins of the groom.
Best Man was Mr. Kenneth Smith, father of the groom.
Groomsmen were Mr. Aaron Smith, brother of the groom, Mr. Tyler McSwain, cousin of the groom, Mr. Christopher Godwin, brother of the bride, Mr. Josh Stewart, Mr. Billy Lee, Mr. Andy Golden, and Mr. Sam McLellan.

After a wedding trip to Gatlinburg, TN the couple will live in Aiken.
