Mr. LeVander and Angel Brown celebrated their first wedding anniversary on August 9th, 2009. The 3 O’clock ceremony took place at Lynches River State Park. A reception immediately followed. The ceremony was performed by Minister Ernest Brown Sr., fa-ther of the 0 Agroom.
The bride, who was escorted by her mother, is the daughter of Mr. James Edwards Sr. and Ms. Patricia Adams. She is also the granddaughter of Mr. James Edwards Sr. and the late Mrs. Jessie Mae Edwards and the late Mr. Willie and Etta Mae Adams. She is a graduate of Francis Marion University and Florence-Darlington Technical College and is employed as a Registered Nurse at Carolinas Hospital Systems. The groom is the son of Minister Ernest and Katie Brown. He is also the grandson of the late June and Eginora Brown and the late Johnny Williams and Alberta Johnson. He is a veteran of the United Sates Navy and served in Operation Iraqi Freedom 3rd Battalion – 23rd Marines. He is currently a Radiology Student at Florence – Darlington Technical College and is em-ployed with Carolinas Medical Alliance.
Matrons of Honor were Mrs. Sylvette Gandy and Mrs. Mary Lewis.
Maid of Honor was Ms. Yolonda Edwards, sister of the bride.
Bridesmaids were Ms. Shaquanna Adams, Mrs. Evelyn Derry, Mrs. Stephanie Fergu-son, Mrs. Rokiah Mumford, and Mrs. Feleshia Nowlin.
Junior Bridesmaids were Miss Shanayvia Barrett, Miss YaNasia Cain, niece of the bride and Miss Breyah McBride, daughter of the groom. Bestman was Mr. Ernest Brown Jr., brother of the groom.
Groomsmen were Mr. Shaheem Adams, Mr. Thomas Bethea, Mr. Jason Bonsky, Mr. Victor Brantly, Mr. Branden Brown, nephew of the groom, Mr. Joshua Collins and Mr. Robert Johnson.
Junior Groomsmen were Mr. Jamaal Brown, nephew of the groom, Mr. Dominique Davis, son of the groom and Mr. Jeffery Gandy, godson of the bride .
Flower Girls were Jasmine Adams and Naomi Guzman.
Ring Bearer was Andre Lewis. Carpet Bearers were Jaquan Adams and Nigel Adams. Gift Bearers were Myasia McCollum and Diamond Fulwood.
Program Attendants were Mrs. Laronda Barr, Ms. Tamara Edwards, Ms. Jackie Wil-liams and Mrs. LaNelle Morgan. Ushers were Mr. Rondrell McNeil and Mr. Henry Parker.
Honorary participants were Little Miss Kaitlyn Patrice Brown, the couple’s daughter and Jeanette McNeil.
After a wedding trip to St. Thomas, Virgin Islands, the couple resides in Florence.
