Roxanne Lynette Matthews and David Ancheta were married May 28, 2009 at six o’clock in the evening at the Pineapple Fountain in Waterfront Park in Charleston, South Carolina.
The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Ronald Jack Matthews of Coward. She is the granddaughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Wilbur James (W.J.) Lee of Coward, and the late Ms. Marijane M. Elmore and J.C. Matthews of Florence. She is a cum laude graduate of the University of South Carolina with a Bachelor of Arts in English, and a Master of Public Administration. She is employed by Richland County Government in the County Administrator’s Office.
The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Mike Ancheta of Moreno Valley, California. He is the grandson of the late Mr. and Mrs. Juan Flores Quintanilla of San Salvador, El Sal-vador, and Ms. Sofia Ancheta of Los Angeles, California and the late Mr. Regino Ancheta of San Salvador, El Salvador. He attended the University of California, River-side, and is employed by Assurant Specialty Property in Florence.
The couple spent their honeymoon in St. John, and now reside in Columbia.
