South Strand Ambulatory Care Center to offer seasonal flu vaccinations

HORRY COUNTY - The South Strand Ambulatory Care Center (SSACC) emergency department will provide seasonal flu immunizations from November 2 – 30 between 6 – 9 am daily on a walk-in basis.

SSACC is located on Bypass 17 between Highways 707 and 544.

According to a news release, the flu shots are $20 or no charge for Medicare recipients with a red/white/blue card. Vaccinations are for adults age 18 and over. Individuals age 16 and 17 will be accepted if accompanied by a parent.

The flu vaccine is recommended for everyone this year and especially those in high risk groups including adults 65 and over, healthcare workers, childcare providers, anyone with a chronic disease and caregivers, the release said.

Appointments are not accepted.
