In celebration of National Adopt a Shelter Dog Month, SCNOW.com is starting a pet of the week feature in conjunction with the Florence Area Humane Society. Each week we will feature a different dog and cat available for the adoption at the FAHS. More than 2,000 animals each year pass through Florence Area Humane Society, many never have the chance to find a loving forever home.
Those who adopt animals from the Florence Area Humane Society will get a $25 coupon toward the cost of spaying or neutering each dog or cat, which is required by state law for all animals adopted from a shelter.
The humane society shelter is located at 1007 Stockade Drive, off National Cemetery Road, in Florence and is open from noon to 5 p.m. every day except Wednesday and Sunday. Call (843) 669-2921 for more information.
