Kimberly Laine Dickerson and Clayton Brooks Duffey, both of Mount Pleasant, South Carolina, were married on October 10th, 2009 at 5:30 pm at Cottage on the Creek in Mount Pleasant. The Reverend James Rogers performed the ceremony.
The bride, who was escorted by her father, is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Tim Dickerson of Florence. She is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. Benny R. Friar of Effingham and Ms. Kathleen Dickerson and Mr. James W. Dickerson of Florence. She is a graduate of MUSC with a doctorate of dental medicine. She is currently employed as a dentist in Charleston, SC.
The groom is the son of Mrs. Betty Anne Duffey of Charleston and the late Mr. Harl Clifford Duffey of Rome, Georgia. He is the grandson of the late Mr. and Mrs. Donald Clayton Davis and the late Mr. and Mrs. Harl Clifford Duffey Sr., all of Rome, Georgia. He is currently employed as a manager at Red’s Icehouse in Mount Pleasant, SC.
Matron of Honor was Mrs. Heather Chapman Crowley.
Best man was Mr. Frank Lewis Riccio.
Bridesmaids were Mrs. Jessica Elaine Gause, Mrs. Ashley Patton Bratton, Ms. Anna Lauren Bethea, Ms. Kursten Lynn Wood, and Dr. Mallory Schreiner Groves.
Groomsmen were Mr. Matthew Brian Dickerson, brother of the bride, Mr. Jason Michael Herring, Mr. Michael Jason McMillan, and Mr. Robert Arthur Turner, Jr.
Program attendants were Mr. Don Westley Maynard, nephew of the groom and Ms. Madeline Davis Maynard, niece of the groom.
Ceremony music was provided by Thelma Hawkins, violinist, and Dr. Julia Krebs, cellist.
A reception was held at Cottage on the Creek immediately following the ceremony.
After a honeymoon to the Dominican Republic, the couple will reside in Mount Pleasant, SC.
