Florence Museum to host the Eleventh Annual Oyster Roast

The annual oyster roast, the major fundraising event to support the Florence Museum, has been set for Thursday, Nov. 5, from 6:30 p.m. until 9 p.m. Tickets are on sale now. The 11th annual event and celebration will take place on the grounds of the museum located at 558 Spruce St.

A sell out event each year, this is the Florence Museum’s only annual fundraising event. The proceeds benefit the Florence Museum to enhance museum collections and programming.

In addition to the roasted oysters catered by Ben Moise of Charleston, South Carolina, The Borrowed Time Band will provide live Blue Grass Music to entertain guests and supporters of the Florence Museum.

Tickets are $50 per person and include all the oysters one can eat, two beverages and chili, chowder and sliders. Tickets are currently available at the Florence Museum or at Crawford Law Firm, 510 South Coit Street. Tickets are limited.
