Fewer workers in the U.S. are getting fired for calling out sick with a fake excuse.
According to a new survey, one-third of workers played hooky at least once a year in the past three years.
Most employers typically don't question the absences, but 15 percent said they fired an employee for missing work without a legitimate excuse this year.
That's down from 18 percent the previous year.
