Scientists make new discovery in the fight against one type of childhood cancer

»  Comments | Post a Comment

British scientists think they've found a new way to fight a type of childhood cancer called neuroblastoma.

They say they've developed two antibodies that bind to molecules in the immune system making the immune system more powerful.

Researchers found 40 to 60 percent of tumors treated with antibodies could be destroyed.

Neuroblastoma currently accounts for 15 percent of cancer deaths in children.
