Established in 1971, the Little Miss and Teen Miss South Carolina Pageant is one of South Carolina’s oldest youth development programs.
The program promotes and rewards community service and academic excellence while providing the participants the opportunity to perform their talents, develop communication and interview skills and showcase their beauty, poise and personality on stage.
In 2002, the pageant partnered with Palmetto Health Children’s Hospital as its official pageant charity. The mission is to help raise awareness of the excellent care the hospital provides for South Carolina’s children and to raise funds to assist the hospital.
Since 2002, the pageant staff and contestants have raised more than $90,000 for Palmetto Health Children’s Hospital.
The next fundraiser pageant is scheduled for March 2010.
