Community Thanksgiving Service

Financial Peace University
Horse Branch Free Will Baptist Church, at 1097 Horse Branch Road in Turbeville, will begin the Financial Peace University program at 7 p.m. today. The 13-week program taught by Dave Ramsey aims to help families positively change their financial future. A praise and worship workshop and concert featuring Alicia Green will take place Thursday through Saturday at Hickory Grove Baptist Church, at 1146 Old Manning Road in Turbeville. Praise Extravaganza
New Jerusalem Missionary Baptist Church on U.S. 378 east of Lake City will be having its annual Praise Extravaganza from noon to 7 p.m. Nov. 28. Worship time changes
Mega/Omega Ministries has a new schedule for its services. Mega worship in Cades will take place at 8:20 a.m. on the first and third Sundays of the month; Ministry at Study will be at 7 p.m. on Wednesdays and at Omega worship in Florence at 8:20 a.m. on the second and fourth Sundays.

Carolina Opry trip
Lake City First Baptist Church is planning a trip to The Carolina Opry on Dec. 10. The bus will leave the church at 9:30 a.m. The cost is $50 for the bus and show. No meals are included.
