New study out on food-borne illnesses

Food-borne illnesses can have lasting consequences especially for young people.

A study of the five most common food-borne diseases found they can cause life-long complications including kidney failure, paralysis and seizures.

The CDC estimates that contaminated food is responsible for hundreds of thousands of hospitalizations and thousands of deaths each year in the U.S.
