Trisha Marie Moore and James Wheeler McCallum, Jr. were united in marriage at 5:00 p.m. on October 10, 2009 at the Turbeville Southern Methodist Church, Turbeville.
The bride is the daughter of William B. and Frances W. Moore of Olanta, S.C. She is the granddaughter of Ms. Edna E. Watford of Sumter, Mr. and Mrs. Francis B. Watford of Gable, and Mr. and Mrs. J.H. Moore, Jr. of Olanta. She graduated from Hudgens Academy and received an Associates Degree from Florence Darlington Technical College and a Bachelor of Science degree from Francis Marion University. She is employed at PSA in Florence.
The bridegroom is the son of Mrs. Bobbie McCallum of Blenheim, S.C. and the late Mr. James Wheeler McCallum, Sr. He is the grandson of the late Mr. and Mrs. Andrew Jackson of Bennettsville and Mrs. Mary Elizabeth McCallum of Blenheim, and the late Mr. James Knight McCallum. He graduated from Marlboro High School. He attended Clemson University and is employed by Richbourg Rentals in Florence.
Dr. Rev. Larry T. Crowe performed the ceremony. Music was provided by Mrs. Gladys Blank, organist, and Miss Lynn Dukes, soloist.
Given in marriage by her parents and escorted by her father, the bride wore a satin A-line, halter gown with beading and lace appliqués featuring a bisque waistline, and a full skirt with a detachable royal train with rosette accents. Her headpiece featured a tiara with a fingertip veil. She carried a bridal bouquet of red and white roses accented with white calla lilies and babies’ breath.
Miss Ashley Strickland served as Maid of Honor. Bridesmaids were Mrs. Mandy Moore and Mrs. Deidre Moore, sisters-in-law of the bride, Miss Marilyn "Sissy" Williams, sister of the groom, and Miss Ashley Godwin. Miss Haley Andersen, cousin of the bride, was the junior bridesmaid. Miss Leah Moore, niece of the bride, served as Flower girl.
Mr. R.C. Thompson served as Best Man. Groomsmen were Mr. Bradley Williams, nephew of the groom, Mr. Bernie Moore and Mr. Lee Moore, brothers of the bride, and Mr. Ricci Flowers. Master Shay Hall, nephew of the bride, was the junior groomsman. Master Blake Moore, nephew of the bride, served as the Ring bearer.
The brides’ parents held the reception in the Turbeville Southern Methodist Church Fellowship Hall following the wedding.
The grooms’ family held the rehearsal dinner in the Turbeville Southern Methodist Church Fellowship Hall.
After a wedding trip to Maggie Valley, N.C., the couple will reside in Blenheim, S.C.
