Georgetown Memorial Hospital weekly health screenings now in hospital mall area

GEORGETOWN - In an effort to improve access and make health screenings more convenient for the community, Georgetown Hospital System’s Community Health Education department will offer its Tuesday health screenings in the mall area at Georgetown Memorial Hospital beginning November 17.

Community Health Education will also continue to offer health screenings each Thursday inside Waccamaw Community Hospital’s main front entrance.

Screening offerings include a complete Lipid Profile, which tests HDL, LDL, Triglycerides,Total/HDL ratio, and blood sugar, for $20. A simple blood sugar testing is $3 while blood pressure screenings are free. These screenings will be offered from 7:30 a.m. until 12:00 noon at Georgetown Memorial Hospital on Tuesday and at Waccamaw Community Hospital every Thursday from 7:30 a.m. until 12:00 noon.
