MYRTLE BEACH – The Pee Dee Division of the South Carolina Chapter of the March of Dimes will host the inaugural “Healthy Birthday” celebration on Tuesday, November 17 from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. at The Market Common’s Grand 14 Cinema.
According to a news release, Market Common character appearances, Barnes & Noble storytelling, and a special showing of “A Christmas Carol” at a discounted price are all a part of the event which will also include free birthday cake, a magic show, balloon artists and other family friendly activities.
“Healthy Birthday” t-shirts will also be available for purchase for $10 a piece with all proceeds benefiting the March of Dimes.
“Our ‘Healthy Birthday’ celebration is a celebration of all the children in Horry County,” Crystal Hummer, executive director of the Pee Dee Division of the South Carolina Chapter of the March of Dimes said in the release. “Our goal with this event is to honor the lives of our children as well as to create awareness for the March of Dimes and the work we do to increase the percentage of healthy babies born into this world every day. We look forward to a successful event.”
