Mr. and Mrs. William Thomas Benton are pleased to announce the engagement of their daughter, Virginia Elizabeth Benton, to Robert Morris Gdovin, Jr., both of Columbia. Mr. Gdovin is the son of Mrs. Susan Matthews and Mr. and Mrs. Robert Morris Gdovin of Denver, CO.
The bride-elect is the granddaughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. William Reese Baker of Cades, and the late Mr. and Mrs. Eulie Benton of New Zion. She is a graduate of Converse College with a B.F.A in Interior Design and is employed by Builders Wholesale Interiors in West Columbia.
The bridegroom-elect is the grandson of Mrs. Carolyn Martin of Denver and the late Mr. William Ernest Martin, Major William Lamb Matthews, the late Mr. and Mrs.
Albert James Gdovin of Denver, the late Mr. and Mrs. Ejner Peterson and the late Mr. Wyatt McGregor Jenkins of Kansas City, MO. He is a graduate of William Jewell College with a B.S. in Psychology and is a Franchise Owner and Operator with Panera Bread in the South Carolina and Georgia territories.
The wedding is planned for June 19, 2010 in Hilton Head, S.C.
