Ms. Cindy Shumate Brown and Mr. Windell Laverne Brown of Hartsville announce the engagement of their daughter, Ashley Ann Brown, to Phillip Eugene Hunnicutt, Jr. He is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Dennis Vance Holley of Hartsville and the late Phillip Eugene Hunnicutt.
The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. Harvey Gene Shumate, Mr. and Mrs. Tommi Edward Mixon of Hartsville, and the late Newet Laverne Brown. She is a graduate of Horry-Georgetown Tech with an Associate in Arts degree with a concentration in business and is attending Coastal Carolina University to pursue a degree in accounting.
The groom-elect is the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. Gus Hoffmeyer Jr. of Hartsville and Mrs. Ilene Porter Hunnicutt of Greenville and the late Jack Hunnicutt. He will graduate from Horry-Georgetown Tech in December with an Associate in Arts degree with a concentration in business and plans to pursue a degree in marketing.
A wedding is planned for March 13, 2010, at Wesley United Methodist Church in Hartsville, SC.
