Ms. Bonita Hankins of Darlington announces the engagement of her daughter, Kimaada Monique Hankins, to Rolando Maurice McLeod, son of Mr. and Mrs. Michael McDonald of Aberdeen, N.C., and the late Mr. Vincent Gilchrist of Cameron, N.C. Ms. Hankins also is the daughter of the late Mr. Charlie Gandy Jr. of Darlington.
The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Mr. Robert Hankins and the late Deloris S. Hankins of Darlington and Mr. and Mrs. Charlie (Elnora) Gandy of Darlington. She is a graduate of Saint Augustine’s College in Raleigh, N.C., with a Bachelor of Science in business administration. She is employed by Verizon Business.
The groom-elect is the grandson of Ms. Elizabeth Elliot of Vass, N.C, and Mrs. Luvenia Jones of Spring Lake, N.C., and the late Mr. Vernon Gilchrist of Cameron, N.C. He is a staff sergeant with the United States Marine Corp.
The wedding will be Aug. 8, 2009, at Works For Christ Christian Center, in Sanford, N.C.
