Devian Denise Hucks and Craig Bryan Johnson were married at 4 p.m. on Saturday, April 25, 2009 at Nebo Baptist Church in Britton’s Neck. The Rev. Paul Lambert performed the double ring ceremony.
The bride was given in marriage by her parents Kenneth Paul and Tracy Hucks of Britton’s Neck. She is the granddaughter of Cleo and Letha Hucks of Britton’s Neck and Bonnie Hunter of Hartsville. She is employed with the Horry County Assessor’s Office.
The groom is the son of Michael and Karen Jordan of Conway and Barry and Cecilia Johnson of Danville, Va. He is the grandson of James Earl Johnson and the late Bertha Mae Johnson of Conway and the late Millard Cannon and Elizabeth Cannon of Conway. He is employed with Horry Telephone Cooperative.
Maid of honor was Keely Hucks of Britton’s Neck, sister of the bride. Bridesmaid was Haley Hughes of Florence, cousin of the bride. Junior bridesmaid was Kara Singleton of Aynor, friend of the bride.
The bridegroom‘s brother, Allen Johnson of Chesterfield, Va., was the best man. Groomsman was Forrest Johnson of Conway, cousin of the groom. Junior groomsman was Caleb Andrews of Lake View, cousin of the bride. Ushers were Jeremy Smith and Tommy Strickland of Conway, friends of the bride and groom.
The wedding was directed by Terrie Williams of Britton’s Neck. The pianist- violinist was Amanda Martin of Pickens. Gina Hewitt and Nathan Grainger of Conway kept the guest register and distributed the programs. The sound- music was directed by Brice Richardson of Britton’s Neck. The cake and candy attendants were Kim and Bailee Cribb.
The wedding reception was held in the Nebo Baptist Church Social Hall.
A rehearsal dinner was hosted by the groom’s parents, Michael and Karen Johnson on Friday, April 24, 2009 at O’Hara’s Restaurant in Mullins. After a wedding trip to Isle of Palms, the couple will be living in Conway.
