Mrs. Sheila Cook of Portland, Mich., announces the engagement of her daughter, Heather Anne Harris, to Richard Hartwell Bryant III, son of Dr. and Mrs. Richard H. Bryant Jr. of Florence. Ms. Harris is also the daughter of the late Mr. Bruce Alexander Cook of Portland, Mich.
The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Mrs. Jane Gross and the late Mr. Stanley Gross of Crystal, Mich., and the late Mr. and Mrs. Gerald Cook of Portland, Mich.
The groom-elect is the grandson of Mrs. Corrie Mae Stewart and the late Mr. Frank Toland Stewart of Florence, and Mrs. Martha Harbin Bryant and the late Mr. Richard H. Bryant Sr. of Florence.
The wedding will be July 25, 2009, at St. Johns Episcopal Church in Florence.
