Lee Rhodes Whittington of Florence and Dustin Corey Ousley of Hickory were married June 20, 2009, at Cornerstone Baptist Church in Darlington.
Dr. William Curtis performed the ceremony.
The bride, who was escorted by her father, is the daughter of Forrest and Cheryl Whittington of Florence. She is a granddaughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. L. Duvall Williams, the late Dr. and Mrs. F. Brooks Whittington, and Mrs. Florence G. Whittington.
Lee attended Furman University and Manhattan School of Music where she earned bachelor’s and master’s degrees in Classical Voice Performance. She is employed by Florence School District One.
Dustin is the son of the late Gene and Barbara Ousley of Fountain Inn. He earned a bachelor’s degree in Music from Furman University and a master’s degree in Choral Conducting from the University of North Carolina in Greensboro. He is employed by Fred T. Foard High School in Newton, NC.
Matrons of honor were Carolyn Earhart Whittington and Haley Drew Whittington, sisters-in-law of the bride.
Best man was Ronnie Horne, friend of the groom.
Bridesmaids were Erin Breeding Cannon, Courtney Owen Landry, Megan Reader Mashburn, Jodi Marie Tovay, Kate Purvis Tyner and Ryan Elizabeth Whicker, all friends of the bride.
Groomsmen were Daniel Whittington and Josh Whittington, brothers of the bride; Pat Moss, Josh Sass, Islam Tawfik, and Jeff Wiltcher, friends of the groom.
Following the ceremony, a reception was held at the church.
After a honeymoon trip to Europe, the couple will reside in Hickory, NC.
