Lake City native Coletrain announces book release

Dr. Robin L. Coletrain, a Lake City native and Lake City High School graduate, has written her first book, “Speak the Truth: Words, Thoughts & Desires.”

According to a press release: “This 70-piece collection of poetry conveys a sweet, sultry and soulful voice about life, love, friendship and career. ‘Speak the Truth’ delivers grown and earthy poetry that breathes life into words.”

Coletrain is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Willie Lee Bryant and Wanda Coletrain, all of Lake City; and Mr. and Mrs. John Wesley Singletary of Fort Washington, Md. She is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. Robert Coletrain of Lake City.

She is a member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority and volunteers with Girl Scouts. She currently resides in Columbia with her daughter.

“Speak the Truth” is available through www.robincoletrain.com. Coletrain will host a book signing from 11a.m. to 2 p.m. Aug. 15 at BookWorld Inc., at 263 Kelley Street #300 in Lake City.
