Incision-free surgery now avialble to help heartburn sufferers

»  Comments | Post a Comment

One out of 10 Americans has heartburn on a regular basis.

Now, an incision-free surgery is available to help heartburn sufferers.

Dr. Lane Moore of Tri-County Surgery is the first in Horry County to offer the procedure.

The surgery is called Transoral Incisionless Fundoplication. Using the new Esophyx ® device, surgeons can correct the problem that causes acid reflux. It's performed through mouth.

Doctors say because the procedure does not require any incisions, there is reduced pain, reduced recovery time and no scars.

To learn more about this procedure and to find out if you are a candidate for the TIF procedure, you can contact Dr. Moore at The Heartburn Center at Tri-County Surgery in Loris and Seacoast Medical Center in Little River. The number is 843-756-5524.

Dr. Moore is also hosting upcoming EsophyX seminars.
