The Doctors Michael and Tarina Mendes of Seneca, SC, formerly of Florence, SC, announce the engagement of their daughter, Genevieve Ada Mendes, to Zachary Lee Weaver, the son of the Reverends Ludwig and Jean Weaver of Greenville, SC.
The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. Robert Francis Mendes of Merrick, New York, and Ms. Betty Eugenia Black of Washington, DC and the late Mr. Arnold Mathias Schroeder.
The groom-elect is the grandson of Mrs. Margaret Weaver of Ashland, Kentucky and the late Mr. Ludwig Lee Weaver. He is also the grandson of the late Mr. Henry Norman Diener and Mrs. Jane Corbett Diener.
The bride-elect is a graduate of Clemson University and will receive her Juris Doctor degree from the University of Miami School of Law in May of 2010.
The groom-elect is a graduate of Clemson University and received his Juris Doctor degree from the University of Miami School of Law in May of 2009. He is currently practicing with the firm Lewis Tein, PL in Miami, FL.
The wedding is planned for September 4, 2010 at Westminster Presbyterian Church in Greenville, SC.
