Brittany Alanda Foil of Mullins and Timothy Blake Shelley of Mullins were married on October 3, 2009, at 5 p.m. at Macedonia United Methodist Church. Kem Thomas performed the ceremony.
The bride, who was escorted by Andrew Foil, is the daughter of Mr. Andrew and Mrs. Janet Foil of Mullins. She is the granddaughter of Mr. James and Mrs. Alanda Stevens of Marion and Mr. William and Mrs. Patricia Foil of Mullins.
The bride wore a satin A-line wedding gown with beaded lace on Tulle overlay and empire bodice and bow with a chapel train. The veils were a cathedral veil and an elbow length with a crystal edge worn with a silver Tiara with crystals. The bridal bouquet was a beautiful arrangement of deep purple Calla Lilies orange roses and orange Gerber daisies with red and pink cocks combs and yellow solid aster.
The groom is the son of Mr. Timothy Shelley of Marion, and Mr. Jerry and Mrs. Jackie Rogers of Mullins. He is the grandson of Mr. Jack and Mrs. Shirley Stroud of Mullins.
Maid of Honor was Lindsay Foil, sister of the bride.
Best Man was Christopher Sawyer, friend of the groom.
Bridesmaids were Tucker Foil, sister of the bride, Sunny Lewis, friend of the bride, Lauren King, friend of the bride, Heather Young, friend of the bride, and Chasity Rogers, sister of the groom.
Groomsmen were Chad Rogers, brother of the groom, Trey Rogers, brother of the groom, Dustin King, friend of the groom, Drake Johnson, friend of the groom, and Holden Brown, cousin of the groom.
Flower Girl was Breanna Lewis, friend of the bride.
Ring Bearer was Jake Rogers, cousin of the groom.
A reception followed at O’Hara’s Restaurant in Mullins.
Wedding directors was Dara Johnson and Sandra Elliot, organist and pianist was Becky Culbertson, and the wedding soloist was Henry Rogers.
After a wedding trip to The Mountains, at the "Dream Catcher," the Family Mountain House in North Carolina, the couple resides in Marion.
