Emily Vinluan Merrera and William Bellinger Cheney, IV of Doha, Qatar, were married July 26, 2009, at Church of Jesus the Nazarene Catholic Church, Dulag Village, Binmaley, Pangasinan, Philippines.
Father Rojohn Ramirez performed the 3 p.m. ceremony.
A reception followed in the Grand Ballroom, Star Plaza Hotel, Dagupan City.
The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Generoso Vinluan Merrera.
She is a graduate of Lyceum Northwestern University, Dagupan City, Pagasinan, Philippines with a BS in Nursing. She is currently employed as a Senior Staff Nurse at Hamad General Hospital in Doha, Qatar. She currently works in pediatric hematology with chronic patients.
The groom is a son of Mr. and Mrs. William B. Cheney III of Florence. He is a graduate of USC-Spartanburg with a B.A. in Political Science, a former officer of the Florence Police Department, and is currently certified by the SC Criminal Justice Academy. He is currently employed as a Security Supervisor with Dyn-Corp International, Doha, Qatar.
The Best Man was Mr. Oliver Merrera. The Maid of Honor was Miss Digna Merrera. Bridesmaids were Ms. Seraphina Lashley Brower, Ms. Melany Merrera; Ms. Virgie Merrera; Ms. Lizzah Merrera; Ms. Jocelyn Merrera; Ms. Flomerra Naida Merrera and Ms. Carousel Leonillo. Groomsmen were Mr. Sony Merrera, Mr. Mene Merrera; Mr. Genesis Merrera Jr.; Mr. Pedro Merrera; Mr. Tito Vinluan Jr.; Mr. Arvin Vinluan and Mr. Nobel Doldolia.
