Jameses Celebrate 50th Wedding Anniversary

Mr. and Mrs. Dew James of North Myrtle Beach, formerly of Florence, celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary with a reception July 25 in the Fellowship Hall of Little River United Methodist Church.

Mr. and Mrs. Dew James of North Myrtle Beach, formerly of Florence, celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary with a reception July 25 in the Fellowship Hall of Little River United Methodist Church in Little River.
The celebration was hosted by their children. Their children are David M. (Caroline) James of Long Beach, CA and Dawn J. (Tom) Cannon of Birmingham, AL. The couple has five grandchildren: Grace, James, and Noah Cannon of Birmingham, AL and Julia and Ava James of Long Beach. CA.
A musical program was presented by Dawn Cannon (violinist and vocalist), Noah Cannon (pianist), James Cannon (vocalist) and Steve James (guitarist). Mr. James, a columnist and editor at the Florence Morning News for over 30 years, enjoys photography and travel. Mrs. James is the former Barbara Keyes of Decatur, GA. She taught in Florence School District 1 (West Florence High School), for 28 years. She enjoys reading, genealogy and travel.
