Mr. and Mrs. William Stanford Altman Sr. of Evergreen announce the engagement of their daughter, Elizabeth Austin, to Mr. Clarke Andrew Johnson, son of Mr. and Mrs. John Ellison Johnson Jr. of New Zion.
The bride-elect is the granddaughter of the late Mr. Austin Columbus Harris of Bennettsville, the late Mr. and Mrs. William Robert Wilson of Hamlet, NC, and Mr. William W. Altman and the late Mrs. Joyce Richardson Altman of Evergreen.
The groom-elect is the grandson of Mrs. Samuel Bethea Floyd and the late Mr. Floyd of New Zion and the late Mr. and Mrs. John Ellison Johnson Sr. of New Zion.
The bride-elect is a 2008 graduate of Clemson University with a BA in Early Childhood Education and she is employed by Florence School District One.
The groom-elect is a graduate of Midlands Technical College with an Associates degree in Business and Marketing and he is employed by South Carolina Department of Transportation.
The wedding will be November 7, 2009, at Evergreen Baptist Church in Evergreen.
