Ansley Lauren Stewart of Marion and Brandon Russell Wilson of Hopkins were united in marriage Saturday, July 18, 2009 at First United Methodist Church in Marion.

Ansley Lauren Stewart of Marion and Brandon Russell Wilson of Hopkins were united in marriage Saturday, July 18, 2009 at First United Methodist Church in Marion. The 6:00 p.m. ceremony was performed by Reverend Joe Nichols Long, Jr. Wedding music was provided by Mrs. Melle Sensibaugh, organist, and Thomas McBride Graham, Jr., vocalist and trumpeter.
A reception followed at The Country Club of South Carolina in Florence. Greeting guests were Dr. and Mrs. Reamer Loren Bushardt of Charleston and Dr. and Mrs. Robert Gerard Vyge of Marion. A children’s reception for students of the bride was held in the fellowship hall of the church.
The bride, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Keith Stewart of Marion, is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. Carl Hicks Huff, Jr., and Mr. Thomas Sylvester Stewart of Hartsville and the late Mrs. Edith Taylor Stewart. The bride is a 2006 honors graduate of Presbyterian College with a Bachelor of Science degree in Elementary Education and a 2008 graduate of The Citadel with a Masters of Education in Literacy. She is employed as a first grade teacher at Flowertown Elementary School in Summerville.
The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Roland Russell Wilson, Jr. of Hopkins, and Ms. Terri Sanders Wilson-Coward of Columbia. He is the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. Roland Russell Wilson, Sr. of Hopkins, Mr. and Mrs. James Edward Miller of Clearwater, Florida, and Mrs. Sadie Sanders of Columbia and the late Alton John Sanders. The groom is a 2006 graduate of Presbyterian College with a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration. He is employed as a financial services professional with MassMutual Financial Group.
The bride was given in marriage by her father. Maid of honor was Erin Taylor Stewart of Charleston, sister of the bride. Attendants were Summer Sanders Wilson of Columbia, sister of the groom; Emilea Huff McCurry of Greenwood and Patricia Gayle Godbold of Charleston, cousins of the bride; Kandace Lynette Wilson of Sumter, cousin of the groom; Elizabeth Anne Butler, Brandi Tucker Eaton, and Allison Mae Tebbe, all of Charleston, and Barrett Fisher Ludley of Mauldin. Junior bridesmaid was Taylor Louise Fant of Ocala, Florida, cousin of the bride and flower girl was Karlie Elizabeth McCurry of Greenwood, great-niece of the bride. Honorary attendants were first and second grade students of the bride, all of Summerville.
Roland Russell Wilson, Jr. served as his son’s best man. Groomsmen were Matthew Kyle Wilson and Daniel Michael Doyle of Hopkins, brothers of the groom; Richard Barrett Thomas of McKinney, Texas, Wilson Glenn Thomas of Angwin, California, and Travis Ashton Wilson of Sumter, cousins of the groom; Justin Davyd Ludley of Mauldin, Milton Gregory Malone of Hopkins, and Derrick Michael Wren of West Columbia. Ushers were Brian Moore Benton, Jason Lee Brunson, and Ronald McQuage Hubbard, II, all of Columbia; Robert Christian Fuqua of Augusta, Georgia, John Howard Miller of Davidson, North Carolina, and William Zeigler Salley, III of Rocky Mount, North Carolina; and James Elliott Godbold, Jr. of Charleston and Jeremiah Edward Huff of Greenwood, cousins of the bride. Ring bearer was Sean Braden McCurry of Greenwood, great-nephew of the bride.
Following a wedding trip to Jamaica, the couple will reside in Summerville.
