CyndiLou Jordan of Florence, SC and Rev. William H. McCown III of Florence, SC were married on June 20, 2009, at 2 p.m. in the afternoon at St. Paul United Methodist Church in Florence SC. The Reverend Jerry Pickens performed the ceremony. The bride, who was escorted by her father, is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Ron Jordan of Florence SC. She is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. Alvin Newell of Marion, SC and of the late Mr. and Mrs. Homer Jordan of Marion, SC.
Bride Education and Employment: Graduate of Francis Marion University and is employed by Florence School District One.
The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Hugh McCown of Easley SC. He is the grandson of the late Mr. and Mrs. Liss Parks of Union SC. And the late Mr. and Mrs. Hubert McCown of Williamson, SC.
Groom’s Education and Employment: Graduate of Clemson University and Perkins School of Theology and is employed by The United Methodist Church.
Maid of Honor was Miss Kirby Jordan, sister of the bride.
Bridesmaids were Miss Precious Cristwell, friend of the bride, and Miss Dora Mitropoulos Friend of the bride.
Junior Bridesmaids were Miss Anna Newell, cousin of the bride, and Miss Fiona Newell, cousin of the bride.
Best Man was Mr. Hugh McCown, Father of the groom.
Groomsmen were Mr. Tony Dendy, Cousin of the groom, Mr. Chase Parks, Cousin of the groom.
Junior Groomsmen were Mr. Austin Mote, nephew of the groom, and Mr. Landon Mote, nephew of the groom.
A reception followed at the St. Paul Family Life Center.
After a wedding trip to Washington DC and New York City, the couple lives in Florence, SC.
